Activate it using the licence key automatically emailed after your purchase. Initial activation needs an internet connection; one licence covers one active Windows computer. Before you start Install RemPress only from the official RemPress website or the approved store/download route shown there. Avoid installers copied from third-party download sites, file-sharing links or unofficial mirrors. Before installing, save any important work in other applications and make sure Windows is fully started. If your organisation manages your computer, you may also need permission from an administrator before software can be installed. Use the official RemPress download route. Keep enough free storage space for the application and your project files. Have access to the Windows account that will use RemPress. If you plan to print, make sure the printer and its Windows driver are already installed. 1. Download RemPress from the official source Open the RemPress Download page and use the download or store button shown for the current public release. The website should always point to the supported customer-facing route. If the website shows a version number, it is useful to note it before installation. You can compare it with the version shown inside RemPress later if you ever need support. If a download link arrives by email, check that it points back to the official RemPress distribution route before opening it. 2. Install the application Follow the Windows or store installation prompts displayed on your computer. The exact screens can vary depending on how the current RemPress release is distributed. Do not disable Windows security features just to force an installer to run. If Windows presents a warning, first confirm that you downloaded the correct current installer from the official source. Open the official download Start the installer or store installation from the official RemPress download route. Moving your licence to another computer On the old computer, choose File → Licence → Deactivate this computer. Install RemPress on the replacement PC and activate it with the same licence key. Only one computer can be active at a time. If you cannot access the old computer, contact RemPress support. Support can help after verifying your purchase. Keep a separate backup of your .rempress projects and source images before changing computers. 4. If you want to print from RemPress RemPress uses Windows printing infrastructure and the printer driver installed on your computer. A printer can appear in Windows even when the physical device is unavailable, so confirm that the printer is actually powered on and connected before troubleshooting RemPress. For USB printers, check the cable and USB connection. For network or Wi-Fi printers, confirm that Windows can communicate with the printer and that the correct printer is selected. A successful Windows test page is a useful way to separate a general printer/driver problem from a RemPress-specific problem. Installation and launch troubleshooting If RemPress does not install or open correctly, work through the checks below in order. Changing several things at once can make the cause harder to identify. Restart Windows and try again. Confirm that the installer came from the official RemPress source. Check whether Windows Security or your organisation's security software blocked the installer. Make sure another installation is not already running. Check that your Windows account is allowed to install desktop applications.
