Editor: create layouts
Start with a blank page or an included preset, then add your own text, images and shapes. RemPress is designed for practical print projects rather than forcing every document into the same format.
Editor: edit with control
RemPress brings common desktop-publishing controls together in one focused Windows application, helping you position text, pictures and page elements where you want them.
With the Editor, create text areas, type directly into your layout and adjust the frame as your design changes. Use Text Effects for supported decorative editable text.
Add your own images, resize them and crop the visible area while keeping control of the layout.
Position design elements precisely and manage how objects sit in relation to one another.
From screen to paper
Take your work from an editable page to a finished print. Review paper size, orientation and each document page, then use print preview and Windows printer properties to prepare the output.
Match your document dimensions and portrait or landscape orientation to the paper you plan to use. Check each page in a multi-page document.
Use print preview to check text, pictures, margins and page boundaries. Look for clipped content and unexpected line breaks before using paper and ink.
Select your Windows printer and review its properties, paper size and scaling. Print one test sheet before a batch; borderless output depends on your printer and driver.
Publisher file import
Open and recover supported content from Microsoft Publisher .pub files in Free Viewer, then view, print or export PDF. Activate the Editor to edit recovered content and save native .rempress projects.
Compatibility varies by file. Check fonts, layout and complex Publisher-specific effects after import, and keep your original .pub file.
Editor: save and reopen
Save your work as a native .rempress project so the supported text, images and layout objects remain available for editing. Reopen a newsletter to change the date, update a price list or reuse an invitation without starting again.
Keep the .rempress project alongside the images and other materials you need for future changes. A printed copy is useful as a reference, but the project is what you reopen to edit.
Use Save As to create a separate project when adapting a design for another event or customer. Give files clear names and keep a backup of important work.
After reopening or importing a project, check the fonts, images and page setup. Keep original Publisher files as well as any recovered RemPress version.
