Getting started

Install RemPress Studio

Installation steps and what to expect when setting up RemPress on Windows.

Printing

Print a document

Choose a printer, review page and driver settings and troubleshoot common print-output problems.

Quick routes

Activation, licences and everyday questions.

Install and choose your mode

Download the Windows installer and choose Continue Free to open supported files, print or export PDF. To edit and save projects, enter your purchased Editor licence key. Initial Editor activation needs an internet connection. If the key email is missing, check the inbox and spam folder for the address used at checkout.

Go to Download

Move to another computer

On the old PC, use File → Licence → Deactivate this computer, then activate the replacement with the same key. One computer can be active at a time. If the old PC is unavailable, contact support for purchase verification.

Create your first layout

With an activated Editor licence, start with a blank document or an included preset. Choose the page size and orientation, add text, images and shapes, then save your .rempress project before printing.

Practical checks

Keep your project editable and ready to print.

Fonts and text

If text wraps differently after opening or importing a document, check that the intended font is installed on your Windows PC. Review text box sizes and line breaks before printing.

Save and reopen .rempress files

With the Editor, save editable work as a .rempress project. Use Save As for a different event or version and keep a backup. Reopen the project in Free Viewer to view, print or export PDF, or activate the Editor to continue editing.

Preview and print

Match your document paper size and orientation to the printer settings. Review print preview, then print one test sheet before a batch. If the output is scaled, clipped or shifted, check Windows printer properties as well as the document.

Import Publisher files

Keep the original .pub file. Open and recover supported content in Free Viewer, then check text, fonts, images, page dimensions and complex effects before printing or PDF export. With the Editor, edit and save the reviewed result as .rempress. Recovery varies by document; compare important layouts against the original or a reference PDF.

Images, cropping and presets

Resize a picture proportionally to avoid stretching it. Crop to change which part is visible, then check the result after rotation. Included templates and presets are optional starting points: replace their wording and images and save your own project.

Troubleshoot one change at a time

Save a separate copy before testing changes. Note the RemPress version, Windows version, exact error and the steps that cause it. For printing issues, compare a Windows test page with a RemPress test print to help identify whether the document or printer needs attention.

Still need help?

If the guides do not solve the issue, report it to RemPress support. Include your RemPress and Windows versions, the document type, steps to reproduce and a screenshot where useful.
